— Kriya Breathwork Session with Claire
Kriya means evolutionary action and can be translated to action that leads us to expansion, liberation, and unity. In Sanskrit, Kri means “action to do” and Ya is another name for the Soul. This “action” refers to techniques designed to create a specific evolutionary response. Kriya is intentional action that leads to liberation whereas karma is an action that creates suffering. In any given moment we are supporting the life-giving and evolutionary purpose of nature, or we are restricting the evolutionary impulse of the universe. Through the practice of kriya we release ourselves from karma and step into our dharma more and more. Dharma is living a life of meaningful purpose, a life which is expansive. Either you are living a karmic life or dharmic life.
Kriya allows the body to learn to handle increased energy to create deep harmony with the energy of the universe and to merge the individual with totality. When kriya is practiced, one can move towards deeper states of Shunya (silence). As we access deep innate wisdom through the practice of kriya, integration with totality occurs.
